FIOLMINISTERIET_kristoffer juel poulsen_

Fiolministeriet is an acclaimed Danish string trio that, with its lineup of violin, viola, and cello, creates a unique meeting point between classical precision and the raw, swinging energy of folk music. The group consists of three classically trained female musicians, each bringing impressive musicality and experience to the ensemble.

Kirstine Sand (violin and backing vocals) has folk music in her blood, stemming from a family with deep roots in both music and dance culture. She has been immersed in the traditional Danish music scene her entire life and has supplemented this heritage with a formal education from The Funen Academy of Music (Det Fynske Musikkonservatorium) as well as studies in Newcastle, Great Britain.

Ditte Fromseier (viola, violin, and vocals) began her musical journey as early as age four on her home island of Bornholm. Since then, she has established herself as a prominent name on the folk music scene. In addition to her virtuosic playing on the viola and violin, Ditte is also known for enriching the trio's music with her beautiful singing voice.

Kirstine Elise Pedersen (cello and backing vocals) is widely recognised as Denmark's leading folk cellist. She is known for her incredibly swinging and virtuosic cello playing, which is also heard in many other prominent constellations, including the Harald Haugaard Quartet and the Helene Blum Band. Kirstine is also a highly respected classical musician, having completed her education on the prestigious soloist course at the Academy in Odense in 2011.

Driven by a shared love for the oldest Danish folk music, the three musicians together have created an intense musical expression that, beyond the traditional roots, is also built upon their own modern compositions.
